The spark and desire to become an educator began in the fourth grade. I can still remember how I used to sit my mother down in my room and teach her the lessons I had learned from school that day. By high school, I began noticing all my friends struggling with their math classes. They started asking me for help, and before I knew it, I was tutoring their friends too. Seeing their eyes light up with understanding after working with me was the best feeling in the world. That’s when I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to teaching math to other struggling students.

I aim to help overwhelmed students reduce stress and reignite their passion for learning. Based on post-COVID research through the very voices of 87 high school math teachers, I’ve carefully developed 9 to 11-page preassessments for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and Probability & Statistics.

The topics from these pretests form the bedrock of my self-paced courses, guiding students through structured learning. Each module includes Warm Ups, Exit Slips and quizzes to ensure engagement, accountability, and deeper understanding. Without these foundational knowledge and skills, students may struggle to grasp new material as they are at the same time trying to catch up on remembering prerequisite skills.
